About
I was admitted to the bar in 1991.
I took silk in 2009.
I was a solicitor and before that a paralegal.
I try to do work in any area I am offered, but I will not appear or work without an instructing solicitor.
My contact details are available on the NSW Bar Association website, here.
I have advised or appeared in most Australian jurisdictions.
My hourly and daily rates vary depending on the type of work and the client: if you want to get an idea of my fees, email or telephone me. If you have a different fee proposal let me know and I may be prepared to accomodate you.
I will do “pro bono” work but I will (usually) need to be convinced that the client has some "bono" (good) on their side and that they cannot afford to pay for my representation.
This site is merely a database of cases that I have needed frequent, quick access to from time to time. There are easily mislaid snippets of principle which, before I started this site, I could never find when I needed them. For principles that I rely on often the site saves me a time wasting search for the best illustration of the legal point I am trying to make or to which I am responding.
I have designed and built the site (largely) myself, in part to understand the way the internet and modern communication methods operate.
The site is not an attempt to represent the law as it stands and it is not my intention to provide commentary on decisions. I hope you find it helpful.
